The health of the whole, of every person, is just as important as the individual. The work of being a better anti-racist, is as important as every other part of our healing journey.

We aren’t free, until we are all free.

I am committed to making Your Embodied Truth accessible to everyone, no matter their financial abilities as well as continuing to do the work individually and as a company to be a better anti-racists and support Black and Brown communities.

I am committed in the following ways:

  • With two friends, I worked through ‘Me and White Supremacy’ by Layla Saad. We are a close group of friends that felt comfortable calling each other in. We have slowly been recognizing our complacency within the system and our own biases. I most recently finished ‘Rest is Resistance’ by Tricia Hersey (One powerful book. I couldn’t recommend enough!)

  • I ran a study group with co-workers where we worked through, “Whiteness at Work” a training to build racial equity skills in the work place.

  • I am committed to speaking out against racism online platforms and in conversations with friends, family, and co-workers. This includes recognizing words and behaviors that are based in white dominant culture and mindset and having dialogues with other white-people when a harmful behaviors or words go unrecognized.

  • I donate to organizations centering BIPOC communities. I continue to make calls, send emails, and protest to hold our elected officials accountable.

  • 10% of all proceeds of Embodied Dance classes each month will be donated to an organization or individual that supports and uplifts BIPOC communities and voices.

Below are a few resources to support in your own anti-racism work.
